Indiana Radiology Partners (IRP) provides the entire spectrum of pediatric interventional radiology services to Riley Hospital for Children. Experts in diagnosing disease and injury in infants, children and adolescents, IRP's pediatric radiologists and interventional radiologists work as part of a multidisciplinary team, along with the referring pediatrician or pediatric specialist, to provide the best possible patient care.

Our many years of clinical and research experience allow us to provide your pediatric patients with the most advanced minimally invasive procedures available in an environment suited specifically to the needs of young patients and their families. Staffed by the only pediatric interventional radiologist in Indiana, Riley's new pediatric interventional radiology (IR) suite offers percutaneous interventions using image guidance. Joining the pediatric IR team are specially trained interventional radiology technologists and nurses. IRP's neuroradiologists also utilize the pediatric IR suite for cerebral angiography procedures to diagnose and treat strokes, cerebral arteritis, vascular tumors and vascular malformations.

The IR suite located in the Radiology Department, adjacent to Riley's Outpatient Center, offers all of the facilities and equipment necessary for IR procedures to be fully contained and performed in one location. In addition to four pre- and post-procedure rooms, the suite houses an anesthesia induction room, a family consultation area and a fully digital Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) workstation for reading exams and consulting with referring physicians.

The state-of-the-art interventional suite also offers the following:

  • New dose-lowering technologies
  • 3-D rotational angiography
  • Advanced digital imaging
  • Tilt table
